Cajun Family Entertainment began in 1998 by a group of Grambling Alumnus that desired to keep in touch with fellow alumni in Dallas through social activities. In September 1999 the initial introductions of Greg Hearns and Keenan Green were made by a mutual friend at "The Filling Station", while partaking in a "friendly discussion" about rival schools, Southern and Grambling Universities. The following week at Club Iguana Mirage, Greg introduced Keenan to Tracy Magee, another prominent Southern Alumnus. Later, through a mutual business venture, Aaron Vallot, an alumnus of Grambling State University, was introduced to the group. The idea of networking amongst other alumni of the universities was then conceived and plans for an inaugural gathering were constructed. Following many successful events thereafter, these gentlemen decided to formulate an entertainment company that would further cater to a growing HBCU (Historical Black College and University) Alumni population within Dallas Metroplex. Through a combination of cultural, educational, and fraternal affiliations a bond was created between members and thus the concept of Cajun Family Entertainment was formulated in 2002. With primary aims to provide quality nightlife for sophisticated audiences, Cajun Family Entertainment has become the leader in private parties and gatherings throughout the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
